Even though 2012 has been a really tough garden year, Ron Willer has had much success! He is always happy to tell you how.
The lovely pictures below are from the garden of Carol and Chuck Ohrn. Read what Carol has to say about her garden. "After hearing the "Rose" speaker from Bertholds last year, we were convinced to try roses again in our garden." "We did not have much luck in past years." "So off to Bertholds we went and purchased 4 roses." "One is a Floribunda 'Knock Out', 2 ground covers and the one pictured here is a climber." "The climber is 'Jacob's Robe" and it is fabulous!" "It's blushing yellow to pink blossoms are almost porcelain like."
Below is a little slide show of Ron Willer's lovely Hollyhocks. This is what Ron has to say about them: "Last year I started some Hollyhocks from seed, and at the end of the summer, had only three feet of petals, and no blossoms. Didn't realize these (apparently) are bi-annual perennials."

Below is a picture slide show from Carol Ohrn with a really sweet story:
"When my Grandmother was 100, we had gone to Walmart in LaSalle, IL. Out in front of the store were these beautiful hibiscus plants standing about 2 feet tall, assorted colors all at $6.00 each. She insisted on buying me one and chose this color. I didn't know anything about them; surely I didn't expect it to get so big. Chuck & I decided to plant it in front of our bay window, thinking it would be nice to look out at. 13 years later, my hibiscus grows to about 7 feet tall every summer and blooms profusely every August. We have also started new plants from its seeds. My Grandmother died at the age of 105 in 2003."
